For my blender project I wanted to focus on something that I felt comfortable with. In my time with digital art I had never used blender until now. There are tons of things that you can create and bring to life in blender because of the abundance of tools. However, I did have a tough time struggling with getting the hang of blender. My original idea was to create a character of some sort and an animal (a snake). I wanted to make them look as realistic as possible, for further use and many other reasons. I had difficulty modeling the fine details early on. I decided to jump ship and create the most simple shaped figures so the smaller details did not take away from my work. I found a tutorial of the Seagull on Youtube, along with the Minecraft design. Once I finished creating those two. I had the confidence and skills to try and create something on my own, only using a reference image. That is where I got the inspiration to create the Among Us character.
